In 2008, the fashion store C&A had moved out of the building in Richard-Wagner-Strasse in Bayreuth. The building stood empty until the Kochinvest group of companies acquired it in September 2015. The 1st and 2nd floor spaces were leased to the B&B Hotels group, while the first floor space of over 2,000m² was divided up and leased to various retail outlets. A complete renovation followed, designed for the new use of the building. The hotel with approx. 90 guest rooms plus granny apartment and the stores (Brunner Bäcker, Mäc Geiz, Netto) now make the whole area attractive for visitors again and enhance the shopping street.
