Our field of activity

We are technically in charge of two pavilions at the same time. Among them the German Pavilion and the Monegasque Pavilion.

Before we get started, we asked a few questions to our project manager Nicolas Pachatz.

“On 28.03. we will start and the first part of the employees involved in the project will fly to Dubai. How many employees will be there in total?”

Nicolas: “A total of 15 employees from sld mediatec, as well as 13 external employees will be sent. On 28.03. eight men will fly to Dubai for the time being. They will take care of the first tasks, which are in the area of organization and logistics. Within the next weeks, all other employees will join them.”

“The project was already planned last year, but was postponed due to Corona. Have any changes been made to the project in the meantime? What is there to consider because of Corona?”

Nicolas: “The time was used productively by all sides and thus changes were made.
Since Expo 2020 Dubai is heavily involved with future technologies, there are always new, up-to-date ideas for exhibits In the meantime, media technologies have also evolved, so of course we always use the latest of the latest. Regarding Corona: we ensure the safety of our employees there by working in a Corona-compliant manner and likewise according to German and UAE regulations.”

“What will be the biggest challenges on this project?”

Nicolas: “The coordination with the other trades and their systems. But also in general the variety of technologies used.”

“Is there anything that needs to be planned between now and departure?”

Nicolas: “There will be permanent further planning and optimization from the technical, as well as design side. Many technical solutions for complex problems can also only be precisely defined on site. In addition, the connection and coordination with the other trades is a permanent creative process and requires the highest flexibility. But the past has shown that we are up to such challenges and therefore we are all looking forward to this great project.”
