In order to meet high fire safety requirements, external fire protection measures such as fire curtains or large sprinkler systems had to be used in the past. The innovative solution to this problem is the AMFE (Automatic MiniatureFire Extinguishing Unit) developed by JOB GmbH, as well as the E-Bulb (Extinguishing Bulb, the smallest fire extinguisher in the world). Both extinguishing units are filled with the 3M extinguishing agent NOVEC, which is harmless to health, non-corrosive, and non-conductive.
There are numerous applications for AMFE and E-Bulb. They range from power adapters in advertising screens (digital signage) to medical ventilation equipment and household appliances in your own home. Both extinguishing units detect and extinguish a fire directly in the device and interrupt the power supply to prevent the fire from spreading further.

Areas of application:
AMFE and E-Bulb are already state-of-the-art technology in many areas and ensure greater safety in a wide range of sectors, such as media technology, medical technology, and household appliances. Typical areas of application for AMFE and E-Bulb are small, enclosed housings and devices which, due to their small size and installation position, are not accessible to the general public or even to specialist personnel during normal operation, e.g.:
LED walls, small switch cabinets, display cases and collections, infrastructure facilities, computers, machine and fuse cabinets, boats, mobile devices, and much more.
Practical example: Berlin Airport:
We installed a total of 29 double-sided and single-sided LED steles at Berlin Airport. They are located inside and outside the airport and serve as digital advertising spaces (digital signage) and information boards to inform and guide guests. We installed a total of 57 AMFE (automatic miniaturefire extinguishing units) in these LED steles. AMFEs are ideal for areas with high fire safety requirements, such as airports, trade fairs, and all types of public areas.
