Fire Protection

In order to meet high fire protection requirements, external fire protection measures had to be used so far, such as fire protection curtains or large sprinkler systems. The innovative solution to this problem is the AMFE (Automatic Miniature Fire Extinguisher) and the E-Bulb (Extinguishing Bulb, the smallest fire extinguisher in the world) developed by JOB GmbH. Both extinguishing units are filled with the 3M extinguishing agent NOVEC, which is harmless to health, non-corrosive and non-conductive.

The areas of application for the AMFE and the E-Bulb are numerous. They range from power adapters in advertising screens (digital signage), to ventilators in medical technology, to household appliances in one’s own home. Both extinguishing units detect and extinguish a fire directly in the device and interrupt the power supply to prevent further fire spread.

Areas of application:

The AMFE and the E-Bulb are already state of the art in many areas and ensure more safety in a wide variety of sectors, such as media technology, medical technology and household appliances. Typical applications of the AMFE and the E-Bulb are small, closed housings and devices which are not accessible to the general public or to qualified personnel during normal operation due to their small size and installation position, e.g:

LED walls, small control cabinets, showcases and collections, infrastructure equipment, computers, machine and fuse cabinets, boats, mobile equipment, and much more.

Practical example Berlin Airport:

At Berlin Airport, we installed a total of 29 double-sided and single-sided LED steles. They are located in the interior and exterior of the airport and serve on the one hand as digital advertising spaces (digital signage) and as information boards to inform and guide guests. We installed a total of 57 AMFE (Automatic Miniature Fire Extinguisher) in these LED pillars. The AMFE are ideal for areas with high fire protection requirements, such as airports, trade fairs and all kinds of public areas.
