For the Marburg Youth Hostel, we implemented a modern audiovisual solution for the conference room and the common area. The goal was to create a system that works without any training. Users enter the room, connect their device, and the system starts automatically. The result is a fully automated room control system.
This project demonstrates what modern media technology can look like today: intuitive, reliable, and high-quality.
Technical implementation
Automated Room Control with Q-SYS
The entire system has been automated using a Q-SYS system. As soon as an HDMI signal is detected, the system starts up automatically. This makes using the room particularly easy and convenient.
The following are triggered automatically:
- The screen lowers
- The projector turns on
- The cameras turn on
- The tracking system starts automatically
- The audio system is being activated
This allows the room to be used without traditional control panels or complicated controls.
Professional audio and video equipment
A Yamaha ceiling-mounted sound system was installed to ensure clear and consistent speech intelligibility. The system is complemented by an Aver camera with intelligent tracking. This solution is ideal for hybrid meetings and presentations.
The camera technology automatically detects speakers and ensures professional framing. No additional effort is required on the user's part.
