Zerzabelshof Church

Installation of a universally applicable sound system.

project

The goal at Zerzabelshof Church was to obtain a universally applicable system that improves speech intelligibility and is available for church music purposes. In order to make this barrier-free, one of the requirements was an induction loop that complies with the latest DIN EN 60118-4 standard. In addition, the equipment had to blend into the existing architecture without being overly conspicuous. We installed a digital system that can also be controlled via smartphone, as well as high-quality audio components from manufacturers such as Shure, DPA, and Fohhn. Furthermore, an audio recorder was installed and it is possible to tap into the audio signal for livestreams, etc.

The specific requirements were:

  • church acoustics
  • Use by non-professionals
  • Integration into existing architecture/structure

Material used

  • Fohhn (2-way line array, subwoofer, power amplifier)
  • Shure wireless microphones
  • DPA lapel microphone
  • Denon media player
