Successful projects through global networking

There, the Gallus Group and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG presented their latest label printing solutions to an international audience of industry professionals.

Thanks to our close collaboration within theAV Allianceand thePSNI Global Alliance, we are able to execute projects worldwide efficiently and to a consistently high standard. Together with ourinternational partners, we created an impressive trade show booth—includingalarge-formatLED wallfor a striking visual presence.

Projects like this clearly demonstrate the difference a strong network makes: combined expertise, seamless processes, and the ability to successfully execute evencomplex trade show presentations on a global scale.

We also had the opportunity to set up aboothatit-saand be part of this important industry platform. With current topics, expert forums, and inspiring presentations, the trade show serves as a central hub for everyone professionally involved in IT security. In addition, we organized theit-sa Afterwork Party in the Sydney Hall—a lively way to wrap up the trade show day, where visitors could network and wind down together in a relaxed atmosphere. The technology, interior design, and event concept all contributed to a special atmosphere.

30 years of sld mediatec – An interview with Managing Director Sebastian Kamm

From its founding to today – a brief review

On Sundays, managing director Sebastian Kamm organized the first small parties together with two friends—improvised, but with a lot of passion. The money earned from delivering newspapers was invested in the first sound system from Ohm, which expanded the technical possibilities.

Together with Liam and Daniel, he finally founded sld mediatec GmbH—with the clear goal of taking media technology productions to the next level.

Early on, sld mediatec recognized the potential of modern media technology and consistently focused on quality, innovation, and service. The early days were characterized by a passion for craftsmanship and a pioneering technical spirit. With a small team and a great deal of commitment, the first projects were realized—always with the goal of creating the perfect media presentation for customers.

30 years of development and innovation

Over the past three decades, not only has our team grown, but so too has our expertise and portfolio:

  • Expansion of the rental division for event technology and implementation of initial large-scale projects in the event industry

September kicked off with a big boost for our team—eight trainees and one permanent employee started with us on Monday.

Cologne Trade Fair Confex

After almost three years of construction, Confex opened on June 28, 2024. Now, for the first time, over 6,200 conference guests can gather in one place, 4,300 in the Confex Hall alone—in a flexible, fully digitalized space that allows for live and hybrid events at the highest global level.

We installed the 72-meter-long Media Mesh on the facade of the Confex. It is unique in Europe in terms of size, and we think it looks simply impressive! Incidentally, thanks to the special construction, the interior spaces behind it are hardly affected, and you still have a great view of Cologne Cathedral. We also equipped the interior with numerous LED displays and digital signage.

We are a new service partner in the field of electrical engineering!

A total of 25 service partners provide high-quality services at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center. We have been part of this team since July 2023, responsible for media technology. From July 2024, as a service partner of NürnbergMesse, we will also be responsible for electrical engineering!

NürnbergMesse is thus diversifying another trade at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center in order to offer its customers the greatest possible expertise and reliability. "Services are essential when organizing and running trade fairs. With sld mediatec as our new service partner in the electrical services product category, we are continuing to diversify our range of services," says Remo Zimmermann, Head of Services at NürnbergMesse Group.

Entrepreneurs' Ball 2023

The 11th Entrepreneurs' Ball was once again a resounding success! For this special event, we installed a 170m² LED wall, over 100 moving heads, more than 70 motors, over 700m of trussing, and over 25km of cable. All of this was only possible thanks to excellent teamwork – it's always great to see what can be achieved with #teamwork!
