Digitization with the multifunction table All-in-One

Up-to-date digitization of schools, educational institutions, government offices, lecture halls, etc. is becoming increasingly urgent and necessary. We were all caught completely unprepared by the coronavirus crisis. But closing all facilities for months and leaving students to their own devices or to their parents is not a solution. It has become clear that there is a need to catch up in digitization in many areas. We want to be a strong partner here and find individual solutions so that lectures of all kinds can take place as usual.

Digitization will revolutionize our lives in many areas and create countless opportunities. Easy system integration of the latest digital technology into existing analog systems is possible.

sld mediatec GmbH sees itself as a strong partner for the digitalization of schools, educational institutions, public authorities, lecture halls, and much more.

The central element is the digital console. In addition to accommodating all the hardware, concrete design factors have also been worked out.

Advantages:

  • Lowest possible barrier between lecturer and audience
  • Stand alone without fixation
  • Durable
  • Furniture-like
  • Neutral design
  • Representation of technology
  • Includes: two monitors, PC, document camera, audio and video system
  • No assembly, easy implementation
  • Integration of common media players, such as projectors and screens, which do not require touch function
  • Full-fledged distance teaching with the console does not differ in essence from normal teaching.

Our field of activity

We provide technical support for two pavilions at the same time. These are the German Pavilion and the Monegasque Pavilion.

Before we begin, we asked our project manager Nicolas Pachatz a few questions.

"It all kicks off on March 28, when the first group of employees involved in the project will fly to Dubai. How many employees will be there in total?"

Nicolas: "A total of 15 employees from sld mediatec and 13 external staff members will be sent to Dubai. On March 28, eight people will fly to Dubai initially. They will take care of the first tasks, which are related to organization and logistics. All other employees will join them within the next few weeks."

"The project was already planned last year, but was postponed due to COVID-19. Have any changes been made to the project in the meantime? What needs to be considered due to COVID-19?"

Nicolas: "The time was used productively by everyone involved, and changes were made as a result. Since Expo 2020 Dubai focuses heavily on future technologies, there are always new, cutting-edge ideas for exhibits. In the meantime, media technologies have also continued to evolve, so we naturally always use the latest and greatest. Regarding COVID-19: We ensure the safety of our employees there by working in compliance with COVID-19 regulations and also in accordance with German and UAE regulations."

"What will be the biggest challenges in this project?"

Nicolas: "Coordination with other trades and their systems. But also, in general, the variety of technologies used."

"Is there anything else that needs to be planned before departure?"

Nicolas: "Planning and optimization continue on an ongoing basis, both from a technical and a design perspective. Many technical solutions to complex problems can only be determined precisely on site. In addition, communication and coordination with the other trades is an ongoing creative process and requires a high degree of flexibility. But the past has shown that we are up to such challenges, and that's why we are all looking forward to this great project."
